West End Interiors (WEI) is a full service design firm, which means we are alongside you from idea to installation! We consider full service to include new home construction, large-scale home renovations, or a design of multiple rooms (3+) complete with furnishings, wall and floor coverings, lighting, art and décor. If your project is smaller in scope, we also offer a limited amount of hourly design service packages. If any of these sound like your project, please reach out!
Our full service design fee begins at $25,000 and has a three room minimum for furnishing projects. For new construction and large scale renovations, design fees are based on the size and scope of the project. Our recent new home construction projects have ranged from homes that are 3,500+ sq. ft. up to 20,000 sq. ft.
Just as every client is unique, every vendor is unique. Some major retailers offer little to no trade discounts, and others are generous with their discounts, and we pass through savings to our clients whenever possible.
Any markup on furnishings and accessories helps offset our behind the scenes costs related to time spent procuring the product, managing the ordering process, oversight of shipping, and inspection of items upon arrival. In the instance an item arrives damaged, we work directly with the vendor to resolve the issue quickly.
We are often able to procure items for our clients at prices significantly less than retail, and if we can’t beat the comparable full priced retail cost, we will certainly never price items higher than retail.
Yes! As long as the items fit in with the overall aesthetic we are striving towards, we’d be happy to incorporate your existing pieces into the design. We do begin each project listening to your needs and dreams for the space, and we understand certain items have sentimental value and will do our best to work those in.
Our studio in downtown Walworth, WI is currently open by appointment only during weekday business hours. We reserve evenings and weekends for our families. We always do our best to accommodate our clients' busy schedules and when in person meetings are not possible, we lean on technology to share our design presentations and offer design consultations.
Yes! We love photographing our projects and always ask for your permission at the time of contract signing to use photographs and videos of your project for promotional purposes such as our website or social media. We never disclose our clients' names or addresses.
When we are providing our design services in connection with a new home construction or large scale renovation project, we are typically working with builders or contractors who have established teams of trades who will execute your project. For our hourly design projects, we have relationships with local trades we are happy to share with you such as carpenters, painters, upholstery companies, etc. We do not function as general contractors and would be pleased to refer you to several local resources.
